Guess Who Turned 2 Today?!?

I can't believe that my little baby girl turned two today. It just doesn't seem possible. We had such a fun time today celebrating Piper's special day as a family. We took Piper to the zoo this morning and then afterwards we came home and had a picnic and played with Piper's birthday surprise. I don't think we could have had a better day. Happy Birthday Baby!!!

We got a turtle sandbox this weekend. I had one when I was growing up and I couldn't help but get Piper one too.

Weekend Fun!

We had such a great weekend. I got to have a makeover done on Saturday morning at Sephora and then we spent the afternoon and evening at Papa Rick's house. He got this amazing water slide (hello - where were these when we were growing up? I remember sliding on garbage bags!) and all the kids had a fabulous time playing. After all the water fun, we had a fantastic BBQ with great food and good company. What more could you ask for?!?

Kite Flying

Yesterday after Doug got home from work he took Piper outside to play so I could get dinner ready. Since the wind was blowing and not gusting for once, he decided it was the perfect day to fly a kite. After he got it up in the air Piper decided that daddy had had enough fun for one day and wanted her turn. I mean, it's just not as much fun to watch someone else fly your Tigger kite. I must say, for a first timer - she did awesome!

Dancing Queen

Just like ABBA says, she is a "Dancing Queen". Yesterday while I was getting ready to leave for swim class, I decided to put some music on. As soon as Piper heard the first note, she started to shake her booty. Of course, I had to stop everything I was doing and take some pictures. Her big finish. Ballet classes in the future? Aunt Sara would be proud!

Oh Chad!

So, Doug and I went to Las Vegas this weekend to watch the supercross championship. The only thing I wanted to do in Vegas is meet Chad Reed. So Doug being the good husband he is, waited in line with me for over two hours so I could get his autograph and have my picture taken with him. The best thing about the race? Chad won the race and also won the championship! What a weekend:o)
